Welcome to the Around the Dinner Table Forum. We are always saddened to hear that new members need us, but we are also keen to make you feel welcome. We know that Eating Disorders are truly bewildering illnesses to those who are new to them just as they are to the general public. We are here to help you, and empower you to help your child.

We are an international forum with members on all continents (except Antarctica). When posting and reading it is helpful to remember that treatments available in one place may not be in the next.
You also don't need to read everything here or take the advice you have been offered. Take what is useful and leave the rest.

You may find it useful if you are new to eating disorders to look at our Hall of Fame which has some fabulous archived information about how to treat eating disorders. Please also read our FEAST brochures and be aware of our resources pages. The FEAST brochures can be printed out from this page too.

Please introduce yourself. To do so, click on the NEW TOPIC tab on the top right and begin typing away. When posting please remember this forum is publicly searchable, this means that anyone can use Google or other search engines to find topics of relevance. Anyone can read the forum, you don't have to be a member. Please therefore be careful to protect your identity as much as you feel you need to. This can be done by not giving explicit details, but please give enough detail that we are able to help. By being searchable we are able to help many more people. If you are struggling to find the buttons needed then this GETTING STARTED guide will be really useful for you.
