I'm on a fact finding mission this morning:

1. Can anyone recommend any private UK IP facilities?

2. Does anyone have experience of CAMHS in Cambridge that they would be willing to share.  I'm finding them a bit rubbish to say the least and it would be good to know how to get more out of them if possible.

Thanks.

When it comes to services in the UK, I think of MarcellaUK and melstev, why don’t you email them privately and ask?
They are both very kind and knowledgeable.

Agree with scaredmom, both of those posters have lots of wisdom and information to share.

It is also worth a try to contact Eva Musby and ask her for help/advice/her opinion.

Thanks all.  I'm speaking with Eva regularly too so will ask her.

For anyone interested: Eva had also heard good things about UCSD but has heard mixed experiences about UK MFT. Her view was that the US teams had been trained by the Maudsley but made it much better.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has experience with Dr Sonia Bues (Oxford based).  Also, if anyone can recommend any other private FBT specialists/therapists.

I am in contact with Sonia for about a year now and I know some families who have been/are supported by her. I think she is a good FBT therapist. She is German but lives in England for some years now and does also skype sessions if someone does not live near Oxford.
