Sorry I haven't updated on our current situation with my D, we've had a pretty busy few weeks and it completely slipped my mind.

She's still at university and does not wish to come down to us as most of her friends are up there which I suppose is understandable. However she broke down when we visited and confessed she was doing extremely badly and that she didn't want to live this way anymore which was like music to my ears!

She has been referred for an assessment which is happening in a few weeks, and while I have been told she is still currently losing weight, her friend has informed me she has been talking a lot more about how she is going to really try and recover when she is offered some form of treatment after her assessment!

She's been adamant she doesnt want to go inpatient, and with how determined she seems I'm hoping she doesn't need it and that intensive outpatient will be offered instead so she can stay close to her friends!

Does anyone know what the process of assessment and treatment is for adults with the NHS?

Right now it's a waiting game and obviously she is still deteriorating because she can't do this on her own so if I at least know how it works it might ease both of our fears a wee bit
