Hi, I love and really value the support of this online group. I was wondering whether it might be helpful also to meet other parents caring for teen with ED. I am based in NW. Is anyone else involved in a face to face support group based up here or potentially interested?

You may wish to check out the Coffee Breaks page on the main F.E.A.S.T. website.  There is info there on linking up with other parents in your geographical area, and tips on starting your own coffee break group if you wish.
I am so grateful that Around the Dinner Table was available to me when we were going through our darkest days.  However, the in-person meetings with others in my area was a godsend!  It truly got me through this journey with my mental health still intact.  I made some lasting friendships as well.
Wishing you all the best!

Is there any way to find out if there is a Pacific NW group without joining Facebook? Thanks for any help.

US_Mom, I live in the PNW.  We don't have an active group at present; those I spent time with have mostly moved on, as kids are in recovery.  That said, there may be an opportunity to meet up with at a couple of people.  I will contact you via backchannel email.

Hi Sandie,

I am UK NW based. I am not in a face to face to support group but I'm certainly interested.

Hi Heron thats great. Perhaps we can chat by email to explore further. Sk8r31 recommended to look at the coffeebreaks section on Feast site which is full of good advice about how to set one up. I rang BEAT also and they gave me a couple of contacts for an existing group not too far from me that I was going to follow up on.

Hi- I’d be interested in a face to face group. I feel like I spend most of my day attatched  to  my phone scouring for  reassurance and help. I’m keen  to join in.

Hi Julie, i similarly am attached to my phone.
The Beat contacts turned out to be out of date. I have just found out about a local group which is attached to local CAHMs i am going to try out. It may be service specific though. I will email you separately. Xx

Hi Heron, it is later this week, and I hope to go although it is at tea-time so not quite sure of the logistics. You can email me separately if you like. Did you get my email? Hope you are doing ok. Xx
