Hi Heyjac

Sorry you need to join us here and that your son is struggling. I see from reading your posts that your son was previously under the care of CHOP. What did they recommend?

Have you looked into the Princeton Center for Eating Disorders in NJ? I believe that they offer php. They might be the nearest center to you. They have a good reputation. I have no personal experience with them however I know someone who was treated there who is doing quite well now. I had spoken with them at one point and believe you can self refer for an assessment.

The usual procedure will be that the center will do an assessment and then they will recommend which level of care the patient would need.

I am in NJ if you want to talk; you can email me if you would like.

warmly,
Kali

Hi Kali, We weren't with CHOP for very long. They had accepted him into their program so I think he might be able to get into a PHP or IOP program. The therapist broke Doctor, patient confidentiality and my AN S who is 18 almost 19, said he would never trust her or speak to her and tell her anything. So they never really had a chance to offer us any help and he's gone downhill since then. I will call my ins co and then Princeton and see if that is a possibility. Thank you Kali
