Our young d currently in residential with little gain after a few months.  Still underweight, but current resi not working at all and bad philosophy.  Can't go into detail, as I know they are on this forum.  Thinking about Kartini and UCSD per suggestions on forum.  Not close to us, so a big change.  Need recovery with family involvement.  Home is other possibility but d not sure about being seen yet.  I know this is a big step, but not sure about another resi.  Other patients had a field day with my young d, so much went on there.  Don't want that again - a bit wary of even partial or OP unless she is well supervised by us.  We were warned, but were afraid of physical harm that had already occurred.  Now on meds.  Any suggestions?  Have done Maudsley.
So sorry your D went through a bad time, how old is she?
You did the right thing removing her and searching for new residential place as bad treatment is wasted time

Maybe if she is so young you should give partial a go, whereby she comes home at night time to sleep
At least you can have more input and keep a closer eye on her......may be reassuring for you both

The best of luck in getting her a safe, effect place.........
Cannot advise you on treatment facilities as we are not in the same country but someone will be along to do so soon...............

You say you have tried Maudsley?  What about that didn't work for you?  Did you get adequate support from professionals in doing so?

The reason I ask is you mention UCSD.  We did the family intensive (one week program) there last summer, and it was enormously helpful to us in getting D back to optimal health.  They also have a IOP and PHP programs there as well, and a couple of participants in our one week program transitioned to those higher level programs at the conclusion of our week.  It is a Maudsley based program, and they do it right.  Contacting them about the one week intensive might be a good way to start to assess whether it's possible for you to do it at home.

In what general area are you located in the US?  We may be able to direct you to other, more local programs?  I think highly, for example, of the outpatient, FBT program we used in Minneapolis.  Others could help with other areas of the country.  I know I am amenable to getting a private message if you don't care to share the name of your current program here (which I completely understand).  Also, there is no such thing as the perfect program for every single patient.  I know, for example, that the program I used was perfect for us, but that other people here have a different experience, and that's ok!  One thing I've learned after three years here is that there is no one size fits all, and its a lot of trial and error to find the one that works for you.

Hope this helps!
D, age 18, first diagnosed March 20, 2013, RAN, at age 13 Hospitalized 3 weeks for medical stability. FBT at home since.  UCSD Multi-family Intensive June 2015. We've arrived on the other side.  :-)  D at college and doing great!
