Hi mjkz, things are going okay. Our d got some more time from insurance at php after we involved her primary T, and wrote letters and made phone calls to her case manager at the insurance company. Seems our d is now doing well at that php level. She is 2.5 hours from home and made arrangements to come home on her own for the day Sunday to visit, instead of us driving to her for the day. We had a nice family day: ate snacks and meal together, no running to the bathroom. It was a low-key and stress-free visit. I think she'll be coming home soon for good, though, and will be in an iop close to home, which as you may know will be about 16 hours a week. We are preparing for it. I read this article I linked to above and asked her PHP therapist and primary T at home to look at the article and make recommendations for us. Thanks for checking in. I hope all is well with you. XO

That's fascinating, Francie, thanks.
So you help parents deal with fear and self-blame, and they become more empowered to support their child! Everyone benefits when parents get from support for their own emotions.

I think we knew it from experience, but it's always good to have confirmation from research.
If anyone has the full paper I'd love to see it.
