We had that discussion here in the last time quite often: do the kids need more energy when they go back to school and takes the stress of learning for exams more energy?

A good friend has send me an interesting link about how much calories chess professionals need during the course of a game.
Anatoly Karpov lost 22 pounds during the chess world champion ship 1984. And looked like dead afterwards.
A chess player needs the same energy as a tennis player or a marathon runner.

13 yo d started to eat "healthy" September 2018. We found ATDT and started refeeding at home march 2019. WR+ cushion June 2019.

Yes I certainly noticed that over intense sedentary study period a few months ago, D lost weight despite maintaining intake.
