This may be a silly idea for a thread but I wondered if anyone had any suggestions for empowering songs for themselves (or their loved ones).  (inspired partly by the funnies thread).

Having thought of this I don't really have anything to offer but I do currently like Jess Glynne's Thursday.

I listen to music a lot,  most of mine are ‘angry’ songs that I listen to by myself. In the early toughest days I liked ‘better do better’ by Hard Fi aimed in my mind at friends who turned out not to be,  my all time anthem is ‘no more drama’ Mary J Blige which makes me feel tough as.  I shall have to take a look at my playlist!

My daughter started playing "tomorrow" from Annie on the piano. I think it's a great song to remind us that if we are having a bad day, tomorrow is another day.

We had such a thread I think last year or maybe in 2017.
My favourite song in the dark days was "I´m still standing" by Elton John 🙂...

Oh yes, that is really a great song.

What also was great in bad ED days was Gloria Gaynors "I will survive". Very load in the car on my way home from IP.
Keep feeding. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

D became obsessed with exercise at age 9 and started eating 'healthy' at age 9.5. Restricting couple of months later. IP for 2 weeks at age 10. Slowly refed for months on Ensures alone, followed by swap over with food at a snails pace. WR after a year at age 11 in March 2017. There’s a beautiful song called Mirror, by Meaghan Smith, that became my anthem to sing to my daughter. The video that accompanies it is very powerful and the words, Let me be your mirror..., just seemed to be exactly what was in my heart. I hope you can access it via this link https://youtu.be/V4JUuB5udNg,  and pretend you’re singing it to your loved one too.
My DD, who was diagnosed with AN ten years ago, is recovered and living a beautiful life so never give up on your dreams of seeing your child unshackled from ED.
