Hi,

I'm interested to find out if anyone has experiences of their ED child coming off SSRI's?

Brief history:
- D diagnosed RAN Apr 2015 age 10
- 4 weeks hospital admission, discharged May 2015
- Treatment at home using Maudsley method
- WR by Oct 2015 and returned to full time school
- Anxiety & OCD emerged Dec 2015
- D refused to sit causing massive disruption in school
- Prescribed 25mg Sertraline daily in Feb 2016 and continuing meds & therapy
- 16 months on, WR, eating instinctively, calmer and....sitting

Dear claretre,

My d is considerably older than yours, but she has tried getting off her SSRI's a couple of times in the past. She has decided that her life is better with them and continues to take them. They just keep her anxiety under control.

D in and out of EDNOS since age 8. dx RAN 2013. WR Aug '14. Graduated FBT June 2015 at 18 yrs old. [thumb]
