Anybody else’s CAHMS appointment being changed due to the Coronavirus? We are having a phone call tomorrow instead. Not great for weighing purposes!!
15 year old D. Started to feel low summer 2019. Fall out with friends October 2019. Depressed, self-harming and suicidal from January 2020. Diagnosed with AN July 2020. Slowly coming out of it and feeling hopeful for the future.

I think this is a wise/prudent development at this point in time. The whole world is affected.
As for weighing you can do at home or a friend’s. Remember there is inter scale variability too. One scale may show a different weight than another. So long as going up over time that is what you want.

@Bobs I think the approach is likely to be different in different countries. I am in England and our service is continuing as normal. I am unaware if services across England are taking different approaches.
My mum has just sent me an article by a doctor at the hospital in Bregamo, Italy. They have repurposed most departments to treat pulmonary infections. He himself speaks to his kids via Skype, because he doesn't wish to inadvertently infect people outside the hospital. The article is about empathy and patience, as well as myths that go around.

I believe that your Skype session is very sensible, though I appreciate the tough situation you are in.

14-y-o "healthy living" led to AN in 2017 and WR at 16. Current muscle dysmorphia.
Can you weigh at home yourself for some time x?
I think it is very good to cancel all unnecessary social contacts at the moment.

I agree that this sounds prudent.

When my d was weighed on a different scale than usual, I always asked to weigh myself on that new scale also.  That helped give me an idea whether the new scale was calibrated similarly to the regular one. xx

Good idea, @Torie!
