Our local paper has a piece in it today titled "The Ins, the ultimate guide to what's hot and what's not in the new year." Thought I'd share one of the in/outs with you all:
In: Chubby. Now that researchers say it's healthier to be plump than to be too thin, fat will once again (like it used to be in the 19th century) be in. And we'll all be poppin' creme-filled dough nuts like we used to pop vitamin pills.
Out: Dr. Atkins, gym memberships and scrawny runway models who look like shrink-wrapped spiders.
I will certainly toast to that, could this be the beginning of new thinking? I hope so.

Cheers to that! ms When I see these sorts of things I purposly let them lie around for d to see. Hopefully it will give them some relief from anxiety. Our paper talked about all the New Year's resolutions to try and lose weight. I threw it in the garbage.

I'd like to see the day where body shapes are not deemed to be 'in' or 'out' of fashion, as though they were something you can or should change as you please.
