Hi I am new on here but don't know how to start a new topic to introduce myself but I saw your post and I so feel for you as my DD is also the same age as your DD and my daughter is an inpatient for past 10 weeks

Hi Sunrise,

I've moved your post to its own thread. Welcome to ATDT. There are instructions in the Welcome to Around the dinner table thread pinned at the top of the forum if you would like to take a look. Please ask any questions you might have. I hope you will be able to get good peer support here.

warmly,
Kali

Hi Sunrise, Welcome to this club no one wants to join.  It sucks that we need to be here, but this forum is really the best place for information and support.

Please feel free to ask all the questions you like.  xx

Hi  Sunrise, if you want to tell us a bit more about your child's situation and yours we are happy to offer support. Also this is a great place to vent about how it has been and your fears and worries. Vent away!

Hi Sunrise, Welcome to THE MOST AMAZING forum in the universe! Well, that's my opinion. When I first joined back in March 2010 I was desperate for help. My son (who was then 16) was heading downhill at a crazy pace. I found some wonderful support here and excellent advice. I made many close friends, too. In fact I have no idea what I would have done if I hadn't discovered it. I hope you, too, find the support you need here.

We look forward to hearing more about your situation. As Torie says, please feel free to ask all the questions you like. Many of us have 'been there, done it' and 'got through it'. (My son is now 23 and fully recovered.)
