These two things are a long way apart but may be helpful for some.

A free webinar by NIMH on how to help your child with anxiety.

Then in Perth Western Australia- workshops for carers of those with eating disorders. Having done this course in Victoria Australia, I would say it is more suitable for those with older children, but it does teach valuable skills.

The Centre for Clinical Interventions (CCI) Eating Disorders Programme is offering a free two-part group for carers, family members, and/or friends of people with eating disorders. Based on Janet Treasure, Grainne Smith and Anna Crane’s 2007 book Skills-based learning for caring for a loved one with an eating disorder – the New Maudsley Method, these interactive groups are designed to provide information about eating disorders in addition to giving participants the opportunity to share their personal experiences and to learn and practice helpful strategies relating to their loved ones eating disorder.

The Groups will be held at regular intervals throughout 2017 at CCI.
Groups run for 2.5 hours in the early evening and will be held on the same day across two consecutive weeks. There is no cost to attend the group and attendees' loved one does not need to be engaged in treatment at CCI.

Places are limited so register your interest early to avoid missing out.

To register please phone 9227 4399 or email info.cci@health.wa.gov.au

Thank you for this information.  I am in Perth so I will register for CCI's programme.  I had heard about it but had forgotten that it was available.
