Don’t know if this is on the forum somewhere but was wondering what amazing excuses/negotiating ED has tried flying past you around meals and exercise.

They are daily right now for us but the winner of the day today was how bland the mexican rice i made was when last week she said how delicious it was. Mind you it came from the same batch as I froze the leftovers since it was seemingly a hit!

Also heard these today: I can’t eat another bite, I am full.
Since when do I like doritos?
I don’t like pizza from there. That is why I stopped eating it. Plus it’s cold.

They sound like classics.
I've also had 'I just don't like sweet things anymore, my tastes have changed'
"I've never liked bananas/chicken skin/chips - you know that!!' (she did)
"this brand is just nicer' (less cals), 'I'd prefer we made our own pastry/pasta/pasta sauce/burger patties', 'brown rice just tastes nicer' etc etc
You are onto it!

17 yr old daughter dx RAN Jan 16, but starting restricting some months before that. Let go too early and now back home gaining weight again, slowly challenging fear foods and entrenched 'healthy, pure' eating habits and behaviours.

You should put your post and that of debra18 "Sometimes I have to laugh" together! [biggrin]
It is interesting what the brain is possible to think in these days just to keep ED alive.
Keep your humor, that will save YOUR mental health![wave]

Todays EDcuse on why she couldn't finish her last few sips of juice: There are smidgettes on the bottom. It tastes disgusting. I replied Smidgette isn't even a real word!!

"Avocado has hair, I don't like it".
"The wrap is too heavy" after weighing it in her hands.
or she gags as she eats. I just ignore it.
Though less complains as we go forward.

Yes Tina the posts are similar. You have to have a sense of humor about it. But in my mind I often blame my daughter for things. We had a backup in our sewer and I wonder if she was flushing things down the toilet. Really we found just a lot of tissues. Nothing abnormal that caused it. Every napkin on the floor and food spilled , I think it's her. I never tell her that but it's in my mind.
