I have written to many of you via the FEAST email list. However if you didn't get that message and are in the UK I would be very grateful if you could read this.

"I have recently had the enormous privilege of being invited to travel to Chicago in the USA to attend the fantastic F.E.A.S.T of Knowledge Forum and the board of directors meeting the next day (courtesy of a very generous donation to F.E.A.S.T for this purpose). It was simply amazing to meet all those people in one place and to learn so much. F.E.A.S.T. hosts a wonderful forum at Around the Dinner Table and on the ATDTfb page but it is SO SO much more. To see what was shared from parents all over the world at the forum, view here or go to the F.E.A.S.T blog on the event here

I have returned inspired to work with parents in the UK to make the enormous amount of work F.E.A.S.T. is already doing in the UK better known and to help newer parents (my daughter was first treated in 2001) join in and receive the support I have done.

If you can offer any time to F.E.A.S.T. or can think of anything you would like F.E.A.S.T. to do in the UK message me and I'll put you in touch with others who are also keen to work together. Other UK board members have returned invigorated to support the work in UK as well.

If F.E.A.S.T. plan to achieve 3 things in the UK this year what would you choose them to be?"

Several people have already replied. Did you know that FEAST Parents have been campaigning heavily in Wales and Scotland? There are support groups already set up in Leicester and Devon and parents who may wish to start groups, or just to meet informally, in other areas. Some of you have been fortunate to have good care, others of you not so, but standards of care and a plea for a stop to the ridiculous anti-obesety hype are definite themes so far. Message me if you can think of others, are working in your area or want to get to know others who are, or just want to know more

HI Debra - I've forwarded your message to the Outreach Director and to the Chair of the US task force - I am sure there's plenty for you to do!
